Mission: THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC INCLUDING COUNSELING, EVALUATIONS, AND REFERRALS
Programs: The organization has been successful in changing the policies and practices among governmental agencies, schools and businesses throughout northern new jersey that seek to reduce youth and adult use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs and create positive climates in schools. Parents, teachers and healthcare professionals have been given the skills they need to identify substance use among children and teens so that the young people can receive treatment while their addiction is still in its early phase. Through the organization's licensed treatment facility, approcimately 500 people have received counseling yearly, helping them to improve their lives and the lives of their families. Agency professionals work directly with approximately 5,000 sussex county youth each year, through mentoring and educational programs, successfully increasing essential life skills amoung 85% of the youth served. Annually approximately 50 sussex county families that are struggling are helped to acquire the support, motiviation and skills they need to move out of poverty and begin their journey to prosperity, successfully breaking intergenerational cycles of poverty.
