Programs: Our vision is to provide members of the southern arizona community the tools to attain an optimally developed and functioning brain and nervous system, to the peak of their potential, for the full extent of their lifetime. We have two distinct but complementary goals to achieve this vison: the first is directed towards research into the etiologies, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases or malfunction of the brain, spine, and nerves; the second is to enhance the knowledge of members of the general public to better understand the nervous system throughout the life span, to encourage brain health and prevention of injury, and to learn about certain common diseases and disorders of the nervous system. Specifically, we seek:. To promote, foster, develop and assist the study of all matter, related diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. . To encourage post-graduate medical study in the treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. . To collaborate with schools, non-profit organizations, and businesses in serving tucson and southern arizona communities as an accessible and up-to-date resource for information about the brain and the nervous system. . To provide to the general community opportunities to learn about the brain, whether in schools or at public events. . To raise funds for the stated mission of cnsf.
