Programs: Wioa out-of-school youth program provides regions with the tools necessary to address the needs of young people, ages 18-24, who are not in school and not working, known as opportunity youth. The program is designed to develop sustainable career pathways for opportunity youth who face barriers to continued education and employment throughout the state. Wioa in-school program participants are low-income youth ages 16 to 21 who face barriers to employment and education. These youth require additional assistance to complete an educational program or to find and retain employment.
