Causes: Arts & Culture, Education, Libraries, Media & Communications

Mission: Established in 1985, the Boston Unit operates an eight-booth recording studio in Cambridge, MA. Three hundred volunteers read, produce, and distribute audio textbooks so that students with print disabilities in Massachusetts and elsewhere in New England and across the country can have access to education.

The Boston Unit also provides training to students and educators to help them use audio texts effectively.
