The Bloc is a community organization that is providing great support to the ones who need it the most in the community. Their annual award celebrating community members who do great work in the community has touched me as I lived seing those awardees being celebrated for their accomplishments over the years and it may have been the first time their are being formally recognized after many years of service and dedication to their community.

I had the opportunity to volunteer with this organization last month. I feel the 50 over 50 Award is such an honorable project lead by The Bloc. And showing gratitude of those who have made strides in our community in addition to having a desire to work with youth in the community is an admirable concept.

I’ve been a volunteer with Block the last few years and really came to appreciate its leadership and the great purpose it holds for the local community. The organization has provided free masks and free meals to those in need and partnered up with local businesses to continue serving and achieving its mission.
The Bloc means so much to me. I had the privilege to serve our community through this organization since its inception. The organization sees opportunities to find gaps and create possibilities for youth and seniors in the Lincoln and Omaha community. Since its inception, I had the honor of serving our community by providing over 15,000 meals to seniors. I partook in the professional headshot events created to assist job seekers in updating their profiles and helping in the 50 Over 50 event honoring individuals over 50 years old in Nebraska. This organization is innovative and it cares about ensuring that everything we do leads to self-sustenance. I love being part of this organization.
Such a great community. Good teamwork and great organization who wants to is engaging everyone in Omaha and Lincoln. I volunteered on 50 over 50 event and it was a great opportunity.
