Mission: To encourage and develop tennis as part of the curriculum and athletic programs in public and private schools in the state of texas.
Programs: Texas tennis coaches association (ttca) hosts an annual conference each december for its members. Members attend seminars on teaching and coaching tennis, learn about any rules changes, and receive information about college showcases. The conference also includes a trade show with tennis retailers and manufacturers.
ttca manages the 3a and under state team championships. It also aids tennis coaches in organizing matches and tournaments for its players. In 2015, ttca implemented the wilson blast (the blast). The blast allows school tennis players to continue to develop their skills during the summer and off season through a league or tournament format.
ttca provides academic scholarships to qualifying applicants who are graduating seniors.
