Programs: Texas health presbyterian hospital allen (tha) is a 68-bed acute-care hospital serving the northern collin county area since 2000. The hospital's services include digestive health, emergency department, heart and vascular, imaging, nutrition, orthopedics, rehabilitation, urology, women and infant care, wound care, hyperbaric medicine and behavioral health. Tha was designated a baby-friendly hospital by the world health organization and unicef, and an accredited chest pain center by the society of chest pain centers. Tha has more than 400 employees and more than 500 physicians are practicing on its medical staff. Tha had 10,966 patient days, 3,591 discharges, 718 births, 41,627 outpatient encounter, and 22,041 emergency room visits during the year. Tha provides quality medical healthcare services regardless of the patient's race, creed, sex, national origin, handicap, age or ability to pay. Tha provides care to persons covered by governmental programs, including medicare and medicaid, for reimbursement that does not always cover the cost of providing the care. Tha also provides charity care to patients who are unable to pay for the services they receive.
