Texana Center

After years of working with Texana, I could not be more pleased and impressed on their staff and how hard they work for their clients. Texana Center has made a huge impact on our community and even more important on their clients.

Texana Center is a wonderful organization. My older brother has down syndrome and has been a client at Texana for over 10 years. There are very few places where adults with down syndrome can work, socialize and feel part of the larger community, but Texana has given him a sense of purpose. He goes to "work" and interacts with his peers every day. Texana also organizes social functions in the community, which excite him to participate. By far the most important element for my brother is being an active member of The Rosenberg Exchange Club. Through the Exchange Club they volunteer and give back to the local community. He tells me all the time he has a "meeting" to attend and that he feels he is making a difference in the community by "helping" other people, which make him feel so special and proud. Texana has truly been a blessing to me and my family for over a decade - they have changed my brother's life! Franco Albarran.

It’s been an incredible journey for my son from having the diagnosis of PDD-NOS (Autism Spectrum Disorder) at the age of 2 yrs to being diagnosis-free at 5 yrs. It was all possible because he could receive ABA therapy at Texana Center at early age. He owes all of his progress/success to the dedicated, caring and simply amazing BCBAs and ABA therapists of the center. Texana Center also gave every opportunity to my family to get involved in the treatment which in-turn helped achieve goals faster. It was a true blessing !!

Texana has many wonderful programs that help so many people within the counties they serve.

The staff members of Texana Center provide much needed services to many in our community, and do so with passion for their mission and compassion for the clients and families they serve. Texana Center is well deserving of donor support.

I currently serve on the board of directors for the Texana Center. This non-profit organization is dedicated to the clients they serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism and mental illness.

I regularly volunteer with Texana Center during fundraising events to help them run their audio visual equipment. By donating my time, I help them keep their costs down which means they raise more money. Texana Center is a wonderful organization and if it wasn’t for them, many people would go without services. After taking a tour of their programs, it is easy to see that Texana Center is vital to our community in many ways. The help that they provide to the people of all ages is truly life changing. They really do make the best of a bad situation because of the little reimbursement that they receive from the services they provide.

Texana is an amazing program and does so much for the children and adults with special needs. I have a 15 year old son with down syndrome and autism, and I cannot wait for the new facility in Fulshear to be built, so that my son has a place where he can go after high school, and be around others like him, and learn skills to help him be a productive member of our community.

As a Board Member for 17 years, it has been my privilege to see the growth in services and outstanding results of our staff with the many clients we serve. Also, the cooperation and respect we have received from the Counties, elected officials, local hospitals and other medical services, as a valued partner has been amazing. As the provider of Behavioral Health, Intellectual Developmental and Disabilities, and Autism services we have seen our services expand to meet the growing needs of our 6 Counties we serve.
