Mission: To take the message of jesus christ to nations that are hostile to the gospel, empowering local bodies of believers to support the spiritual and physical transformation of lives.
Results: We provide educational programs for women and children in Afghanistan, approximately 900 annually; training and discipleship to believers in China through our Audio Bible Curriculum and China Mission School programs reaching nearly 1,000 students each year; distribute shoes, Bibles and The Story of Jesus booklets to families in northern Iraq - approximatelty 10,000 shoes and Bibles annually; Bibles to Iran; church planting in Myanmar through approximately 62 indigenous pastors who planted over 155 cells and received salvation commitments from more than 2,000 people in Myanmar.
Target demographics: Our strategy is to build a working relationship with the local indigenous church in nations hostile to the Gospel. We currently work in Afghanistan, China, Iran, Iraq and Myanmar. By training an equipping indigenous believers, we are establishing a solid foundation for sharing the Gospel and bringing lasting change to lost and hurting people of the world.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 15,000 direct beneficiaries
Programs: Iraq: in the northern kurdistan region of iraq, we continued evangelism through humanitarian outreach into several refugee camps for both syrian refugees and internally displaced iraqi refugees. We fed an average of 4,500 people every month as well as providing clothing, blankets, heaters, shoes, bibles and other christian literature including the story of jesus booklets, medical clinics, sports camps for children and youth, and leadership training for pastors. We work closely with the local churches near each camp to provide ongoing evangelism with training and discipleship programs for new believers. Burma (myanmar): we sponsored 15 church planters in various regions throughout the nation providing them with the necessary tools and training to start and grow local churches; opened a children's home for 26 children, providing them with clothing, food, education, healthcare, housing, christian education and life-skills training; launched a ministry training center for 40 full-time students; held two leadership conferences for nearly 500 pastors; held a living sound concert/event reaching 1,800 people; completed translation of the abc bible training curriculum (363 lessons) into burmese and began distribution of the materials to new believers. Afghanistan: we educated more than 1,600 women and children in remote regions of the country teaching them computer skills, reading and writing in english and afghani allowing them to receive a nationally recognized certificate in education. China: we continued training and discipleship programs through the abc bible curriculum for over 1,500 students and the china mission school for several hundred students; sponsored two leadership conferences to reach over 500 pastors. Iran: we have distributed a total of 36,000 bibles to believers in iran, along with the story of jesus booklets. Other ministry activites: world compassion held a total of 6 partner events in the us; dr. Terry law spoke in over 40 churches or conferences in addition to being a guest on more than 40 radio or television programs. Jason law participated in numerous church conferences along with other members of the world compassion team. Terry law and lason law travelled to numerous meetings in canada and the united kingdom to further develop the mission of the organization. Thousands of books and dvds/cds of teachings from dr. Law were distributed through the sale and giveaway of such products.
