Tennis Serves Others is an amazing charity that graciously donated their Gala funds to our nonprofit organization who helps girls and women escaping human trafficking. With help from Tennis Serves others, we are able to make a great impact on the community we serve. We are beyond grateful for their partnership and hope our journey together lasts a lifetime. Thank you Tennis Serves Others for all the wonderful work you do for our community!
Tennis Serves Others is a wonderful nonprofit that has helped the Pete Brown Jr Tennis Program which runs free children’s tennis in South Central Los Angeles in a high poverty, gang ridden area of the city. Nearly all our kids are minority children who would otherwise not be able to be able to play due to the expense. Tennis Serves Others has stepped up to help these children by providing balls, rackets and support to these children who really need and appreciate the help. The PBJTP is grateful for everything TSO does to help our program and others. What a great group of hard working thoughtful volunteers. They make tennis better for everyone - especially the underserved minority children in our program. Thank you TSO!
Tennis Serves Others provided a needed sponsorship to Illumination Foundation’s Annual Carnival for Kids. Illumination Foundation works to break the cycles of homelessness in Orange County and beyond. Without the support of organizations such as Tennis Serves Others, Illumination Foundation wouldn’t be able to raise awareness as much and serve the homeless population as effectively as they do.
Rescuing the companion animals in our community can be a tall order especially since there is no animal shelter in San Juan Capistrano and The Ark of San Juan has been the primary animal rescue in the city since 2008. Operating an animal rescue takes volunteers, coordination and most importantly, financial support.
Some years have been more challenging than others which has requires that The Ark rescue cats and their kittens, arranging for medical and foster care before. This year qualifies as one of the more challenging ones. The Ark typically sees a surge of activity from June to July due to the increase in stray kittens being born. As I write this, we are still in the throes of kitten season and it has impacted The Ark’s finances.. So imagine The Ark’s pleasant surprise when we were notified by Tennis Serves Others (TSO) that they raised $1,200 for us when they held a fundraiser in honor of one of their members and friends, Betsy, who was an ardent animal lover.
The Ark is very fortunate to be the recipient of such a touching tribute to TSO’s member and friend and is very impressed by all that TSO accomplishes: 1) focus on fitness 2) building friendships and 3) supporting essential community organizations.
Tennis Serves Others board members are very passionate about building their membership and promoting their mission to do charitable work. They have the potential to do a lot of good in their community and the communities they serve.
As League Coordinator at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club, I was very excited when the league ladies told me they were starting this charity to give tennis players from clubs all over Southern California an opportunity to help their fellow humans. Those able to participate in this sport within a club are very privileged to do so, and this venue has provided them with a way to show their appreciation by reaching out and serving others. Their enthusiasm and devotion has helped men, women, and children all over SoCal and in 3rd world countries as well. In a short time, a very small idea has grown into a very large service for those in need. We are very proud of our league ladies and grateful to be the club where this heartfelt charity had its beginnings.
Tennis Serves Others has hit the ground running! They may be a young organization but they have already made a difference in our community with generous gifts and heartfelt involvement.
TSO adopted 5 families for the Families Helping Families event sponsored by the OC Child Abuse Prevention Center. Those at risk families were able to have a holiday celebration with gifts for the kids thanks to TSO.
As a Board member of the OC Child Abuse Prevention Center and an avid tennis player, I'm so grateful to have met the incredible leaders at Tennis Serves Others.
Tennis Serves Others is a wonderful and generous non-profit that has helped bring a lot of joy to the children in The Pete Brown Jr Tennis program. We offer free tennis lessons, rackets, shoes and mentoring to minority underserved children in the inner city of LA. TSO helped raise dollars for our program so that our children can continue to have fun on the court and learn lots of life lessons from our caring coaches. We could not continue to help these children without the kindness and generosity of TSO. They have been quick to help and the women who have helped us are delightful and caring. Thank you, TSO for being so fantastic!
My name is Mike Thoeresz and I'm the Director of Tennis at the Racquet Club of Irvine. I've helped Tennis Serves Others (TSO) run two events at our club over the last two years. TSO is an absolute pleasure to work with. They are very well organized, passionate, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about their work and mission. They also make my job easy but taking care of all the logistical work for an event. I simply provide the courts and some basic marketing (email blast/social media). Our members have loved being a part of their Round Robins and feel that donating to this nonprofit adds value to their membership and is fun! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you're interested in working with, partnering, or assisting TSO in any capacity. I'm happy to give you any specific information. Thanks!
TSO is an outstanding organization that I am proud to not only be a member but also a recipient of this benevolent group. I participate in missionary work in Myanmar (Burma) on the western Chinese border. Our mission needed to fund some special projects for approximately 120 children, half of which live in an orphanage and the other half living at a church school so they can get education. Also helping with supplies for a women's conference where women are very repressed. I brought this need to TSO and they immediately went into action, hosting a pop up tennis event. The event financially covered a huge portion of the above projects. Because of the generosity, keen organization and desire to give time and funding many people in Myanmar were helped.
Thank you TSO!
TSA is a nonprofit with a great mission and wonderful people. I came in contact with TSA when I applied for my nonprofit, Wings for Crossover, to receive support from their annual fundraiser. We were incredibly fortunate to chosen. Everyone I met at TSA was professional and sincere in their desire to make the world a little better, in whatever ways they can. Carol and Kristine were great to work with, really wonderful people, and they remain very supportive of our organization. The proceeds are helping Crossover International Academy sustainably provide a home and an education for orphans. TSA’s benevolence is inspiring and we are proud to have them in our corner.

I became a member because I loved the idea of uniting my passion for tennis with doing charitable work. After learning more and seeing first hand the impact Tennis Serves Others (TSO) makes in the community and world, I agreed to become a board member. With little time for extracurricular activities this wasn't on my to-do list, but the TSO mission is too important not to take part!
