We have worked this year with TellTale Theatre as they melded great character education with dramatization of an historical figure. Specifically we were able to see and have input in shaping their marvelous new program on Teddy Roosevelt. We think the use of drama to teach social studies and character education is a winning technique that grabs students' hearts and minds.
I have performed with TellTale Theatre since 1996 and am honored to have brought joy to thousands over the years. It's a great feeing to see all the smiles and hear the laughter from the chidren AND the adults! TellTale Theatre is truly an amazing gift to both the young - and the young at heart. My favorite show, Fabulous Fables,(based on Aesop's Fables) offers wonderful takes on classics like The Lion and the Mouse, The Tortoise and the Hare, etc. It's heart-warming and so exciting to see how involved the audience becomes with this show!!!
TellTheatre is a great theatre that entertains, inspires, and educates our young people. Using song & dance, interacting with the audience, and creating original material, TellTale Theatre works in such a fun and unique way. Encore TellTale Theatre!
I think the Tell Tale performances are exceptional! The up-to-date renditions of Oesop's fables are fabulous! The kids seem to love John and Bo's characters! Kudos to Tell Tale Theatre!
Telltale Theatre is a class act! I have seen first hand how they reach out to the community, using entertainment to drive home family values. John Schmedes and co. hire only the best talent for their onstage performances and traveling shows.
TellTale is a wonderful organization that really knows how to get in touch with children. The interactions they have with students are talked about for weeks! If you want a fun AND educational experience for your students - Telltale is the group!
As a non-profit organization, we have collaborated with Telltale Theater several times and it has always been extremely professional and rewarding for our students. Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County collaborated on a Summer Drama Camp at the Mable House Arts Center for at-risk students, Falcons On The Rise Summer Program at Lindley Middle School for students who did not pass the CRCT test. We will be working with them again this summer through the Project Lynx program at Smitha Middle School and in March, 2010, at the South Cobb Library - Aesops Fables Come ALIVE! through the Grass Roots Arts Program. They are great to work with and their programs are fun plus educational. schoo
The organization centers around bringing out the creative energy in every student. The staff is caring and fun and provide an atmosphere that encourages group participation as well as individual effort. My daughter received one-on one attention while learning different aspects of acting and improv techniques.
