Mission: Teeny Makerspace, a non-profit makerspace, was founded in December 2017 by three Bay Area students, Kenric Hoang, Kathryn Lee and Kintien Wong. Together, we're working to build a community that shares making with others. In order to run free workshops and attend events to spread the word about Teeny Makerspace, we ask for support from the community. The best thing about Teeny Makerspace is that it brings together a community of young makers who love to tinker. My daughter has been visiting this makerspace since its founding, and I believe that she has grown and learned so much from her fellow makers. We are looking forward to even greater things as membership grows and the facility expands.
We found Teeny Makerspace at San Mateo Maker Faire. This club was founded by two high schoolers whose mission is to inspire others to learn coding and to give back to the communities. My son has been learning from them since then. He thinks the whole experience is very rewarding and likes their projects particularly. Job well done!
I really enjoy the maker atmosphere when I'm being creative or working on my own project. It helps to have other makers to talk to, get feedback and share ideas. Teeny Makerspace also has lots of equipment and supplies!
I have participated with Teeny Makerspace at many Maker affaires, helping them gather donations for their excellent mission. I am having a great time and can’t wait for more opportunities like this to come!
