Teen Straight Talk,Inc shares truth in a compassionate and straight forward way that never waivers from the intrinsic value and worth of every individual. People that are served by Teen Straight Talk are empowered with knowledge to make healthy choices that solidify present perspective, future outlook and transformation from the past. I feel very fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity to not only work with young people but to be enlightened and uplifted by the lessons and relationships forged with Teen Straight Talk, Inc.
I have to say that serving teenagers is not an easy task. I have not experience anything more powerful and impactful than Teen Straight Talk. Trust me,I've tried everything I know to get through to teens. I attended an event where the young teenagers were expressing themselves and you could see that the information they received was change their lives forever. The light bulb came on!!!Sometimes it only takes a moment like this to change the course of lives. I applaud Ms.Allen and her team who have dedicated their lives to speaking the truth to teens and empowering them with tools that will help them make informed decisions. I will do all I can to spread the news. This is a hidden gem that more people need to know about!
I attended a worshop for the Teen Straight Talk and I was very impressed with this organization. The curriculum was amazing,truthful and informative.I was sadned that this information was not available when I was a teen.I am overjoyed that someone is taking the time and effect to get this truthful imformation out there to the teens of today.I want to do all I can to help this very important organization. I started working with teen straight talk as a volunteer mentor. I enjoyed helping out with the presentations, especially the realistic activities that spoke volumes to the teens! I remember helping with an activity that symbolized how when you have multiple partners before marriage, you give part of your heart away, and when you meet your spouse, there's hardly anything left to give him/her. I remember the silence of the room, which to me symbolized that the teens "got it". I enjoyed working with the team. Each member brought their own uniqueness, passion, and experiences, which made the team very diverse and more effective. I regret that there were few men mentors. I think the male teens could have benefitted more from seeing, hearing, and interacting men mentors. I do however realize that the recruit for positive male mentors is a tough task.
