I first learned of the Teen Kitchen Project at a meeting of 100 Women Who Care. With tears in my eyes I volunteered to drive meals to people with life threatening illnesses. TKP is a well organized and professionally run group and it has been my pleasure to assist with providing this service in our community.
I have worked with Teen Kitchen Project for 3 years now. It is an amazing organization. I get to see each week how much the clients that receive the food really appreciate it, and how much the delicious food affects their lives and their health. It has allowed people going through critical and life-changing illnesses an opportunity for better self care and gives them more time to focus on their recovery, health, family and other things important to them (less time in the kitchen). A lot of folks are not able to cook for themselves, or do not have the means to provide nutritious meals for themselves or their families; Teen Kitchen Project gives people this gift.
