Causes: Mental Health, Mental Health Treatment, Substance Abuse Treatment

Mission: The national organization was first established in 1958 when Rev. David Wilkerson began the work in the slums of New York City. From its beginning Teen Challenge has grown to be one of the most successful programs for dealing with life-controlling issues and it is one of the largest organizations. There are 130 ministry centers in 43 states and Puerto Rico and 66 ministries in other countries. We serve adult men and women in addition to some adolescent centers.
