I was hit head one (EYE OVER US) by #HURRICANEHELENE. I received help from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints....excellent help, and wonderful people, who practice what they preach, they roll their sleeves up and do the hard things we cannot do...Sawing, moving huge trees, logs, debris. The second group to help me was #RUBICON and I have nothing but PRAISE for this group of Veteran led folks. THEY are professional, courteous, long suffering (in my case I talk too much) and do wonderful and life saving work. Chainsaws, trees down that were in danger of falling on my house, tearing up and taking off, half fallen oaks, pines and hollies. All work I could never have either done, physically or afforded. I give Rubicon and the others A plus. Excellent...I pray everyone supports them and is thankful for their excellent help. If anyone has a bad experience I imagine it's because they are threatened by their work ethics and their professionalism. THEY are wonderful! Peggy Mercer, Ga.

As a volunteer with Team Rubicon, I cannot say enough good things about this organization. The most rewarding experience I've had is working with Team Rubicon. I met military veterans who believe that Team Rubicon literally saved their life by providing a purpose and support after returning from the middle east. I'm sad to read negative reviews, and I would consider the fact that they grew from a small non-profit to very large non-profit rather quickly. Also, due to the increase in natural disasters, I would guess that TR is constantly juggling between corporate management and dropping everything to support a mission.
After some research, it looks like...
- Team Rubicon has earned a 4/4 Star rating on Charity Navigator3, which is a positive indicator of their financial health and transparency.
- The organization's Net Promoter Score (NPS) is reported to be 87.4 out of 1006, which is a very good score. This suggests that many of their supporters have positive experiences with the organization.

I would suggest that instead of providing a negative comment, maybe offer your services to help or provide constructive feedback directly to TR. An organization that helps people after possibly encountering the worst experience of their life, is one that we need.

Please! Do NOT join or allow this unprofessional, unethical, hateful, untrustworthy, corrupt, dishonest, untrained, incompetent, drunken, and dangerous group of deeply in need of therapy, group of psychopaths into your community.
I promise you will be much better served by literally ANYONE else than this illegitimate and needing to be exposed group.
I regret that I ever had anything to do with them before realizing the truth!!!!

I’ve been a volunteer leader and a donor for six years and I’ve seen the good that this organization can do. I’ve seen far more veterans helped than I’ve seen hurt. I’ve seen incredible innovation in how to help homeowners and other volunteers veterans and first responders and civilians. I’ve seen incredibly thankful homeowners, I’ve seen the respect from other similar organizations in the disaster arena. We have some of the best training of any organization I have seen, and I’ve been in a position to make comparisons. I’ve also seen how it handles adversity, not always flawlessly, but they keep trying until they get it right. Change and improvement is constant the bigger we get, sometimes the longer it takes to course correct but the intention and the effort is there.

The new CEO is a pathological and clumsy liar who lacks executive management experience and is unwilling to mentor others or build a culture of collaboration. He hides from and reacts defensively to problems - which mirrors in his CPOs approach. This organisation, which still has great potential, is no longer operating from a place of integrity, strength, innovation or accountability. Communication is awkward and dysfunctional.

This organization chews up us veterans, and spits them out.

I met fellow female veterans that were already victims of Military Sexual Trauma, (MST), and then endured Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment at the hands of fellow veterans and staff within TR, and it is being blatantly ignored and swept under the rug.

Their HR team is clearly very aware of how they are gaslighting victims- revictimizing them by telling them that it was his word against hers and therefore there was no proof and for all they knew, it was buyers remorse and/or consensual.

I personally reported a fellow veteran for sexually harassing me, he kept cornering me 1:1, when no one was around to witness. I left early, I packed my sh*t and dipped out of the Op early. I messaged a fellow female veteran what had happened, and the Ops leader, who was an MP, genuinely wanted to help. He gave me the number for HR, and they then proceeded to lie to me that they would investigate and interview, resulting in me thinking that they took me serious, when really they were blacklisting me within the organization. I next went to a National Op, worked directly in a position with other members of TR leadership, where a fellow female vet told me of how she was sexually assaulted by another male veteran at a big annual TR PR event. The same veteran that raped her showed up to the Op that same week! We had former military officer veteran that we worked with on that op, where they sat in that room and listened to her story. They were appalled at was still transpiring even after the service, and how they were serving, donating, and volunteering for an organization that revictmized its most vulnerable veterans. She continued to tell her story of the investigation by TR HR that followed and how after he was investigated, they told her it was unfounded because it was her word against his!!!! A parallel of events almost identical to Vanessa Guillén’s story, only this veteran went down a path of self destruction, and their body started to break down under the stress of their MST and now this SA at an organization that preaches how we are supposed to be in a safe haven with fellow veterans! It was more and more toxic masculinity, just like when we were enlisted.
I left burned out and never looked back.

One of my favorite organizations to support! As a donor I love how transparent they are and I feel confident that my dollars are being put to good use. Thank you Greyshirts!

I was left with trauma after volunteering with this horribly run and illegitimate money making scam.
I was promised training and being able to do good work for others and instead was bullied, sexually assaulted, gaslighted, lied to, abused, used, thrown to the wolves, and did I mention SEXUALLY ASSAULTED?!?!
It’s a group of drunken idiots who don’t have lives, friends or common sense and find familiarity with each other in their dysfunctional lives, narcissism, insanity, absurdity, abusing the system, taking advantage of others and the nonprofit status and donors and even those that they are supposedly helping, and make the surroundings even more atrocious.
The fact that they are spending so much money on PR, huge billboards, ads, etc. should be a huge clue at how they only care about money and scamming people and themselves. They should be shut down, fined, and hopefully more, inclusive of all of those who have been assaulted be able to come forward and tell the true story of this disgusting cult. Also, they are incredibly sexist, misogynistic, and racist. I’m ashamed that I ever was a part of this.

Team Rubicon creates an inclusive environment that is volunteer centered while being client focused. They work continually to improve and court feedback at every point. I started as a intern, turned full-time staff, to volunteer for life. When I look for ways to positively impact a community, Team Rubicon is the first organization I look to. They're flexibility and agility to respond means that affected communities know help is coming, and volunteers know they have a place to serve they can be proud of. Watching the growth and increased professionalism over the years has been impressive and inspirational for me personally and professionally.

Standby for an influx of hyped-up positive reviews, prompted by Chief Program Officer David [NotUsingHisLastName]'s e-blast this evening - because the existing rating is less than stellar.

Ask for their Net Promoter Score ("would you recommend us..." kinds of questions) from the people they try to help. When a third of the people say, "thanks, maybe?" rather than "this was awesome" - there's a problem.

Very well intentioned with poor oversight, execution and most importantly, follow up (and follow through).

Zero communication between the regional points of contact and the everyday Joe or Joesephine just trying be useful. Disappointing, at best, especially considering they flaut their "values" diatribe all over their website. It was almost believable.

Nothing more than a PR and marketing machine that exploits us veterans. I made a HUGE mistake in becoming part of leadership and then seeing what really goes on behind the curtain. Wasting donors money and volunteers time and experience just to make sure they get a dynamic photo op. Volunteers are just cogs to be replaced. Good old boy networks with power struggles and politics the entire time. Paid staff hoarding knowledge to create power positions and advantage.
It’s no surprise we’re being sued by our Co-founder. Jake continues to do “damage control” and tells us not to talk to anyone. Despite the fact that the allegations are factual.

So this team is totally ignorant of the HIPAA. They are also ignorant of the law and the Constitution. https://youtu.be/5JfAnh8ZXtg video shows the unprofessional actions of these members. They believe that their words MUST be heard and the citizen must abide by their demands. They actually threaten the law abiding citizen with violence and damaged their property. It is disgusting that people would act towards a law abiding citizen. What are they hiding????

I am a retired person with a limited income. I donated the small amount that I could to Rubicon because I felt sorry for those suffering in the disasters and am blessed with a roof over my head and food to eat. I chose Rubicon because I also highly respect our veterans. I had trust in the organization. Trust does not come easily now days.

I have worked with this group as both a donor and volunteer at an emergency. They are professional and tactical, doing amazing work that others can't or won't do. They go in and make it safe enough for other organizations and non skilled volunteers to do the rest of the work. They are dedicated and also give our veterans an outlet for their desire to serve others both here in US and abroad. Very proud to have been affiliated with them and to have worked alongside.

Some seem to leave self serving reviews, praise their choice group and bash another. Team Rubicon does mostly dirty work, for people who actually need it. I have never seen them leave any area worst then they found it. Also every dollar is accounted for, and treated as if it was their mother that donated it. Oh, and they don't judge people .....

I love working with these men and women. Team Rubicon is the closest to professional disaster relief that is possible with volunteer force. Team Rubicon uses all sorts of military training, as well as FEMA developed disaster relief protocols to provide aid for all sorts of disasters.
