I have been dealing with Team PHenomenal Hope since 2012 when they were founded. They are a Non-Profit Organization Race team helping to bring Awareness to a Rare Disease called Pulmonary Hypertension. They are the "ONLY" non-profit that raises money to help the patients with micro-grants to give to patients that are struggling financially, as well as racing to bring in funds for research grants to find a cure for this incurable disease.
They have helped so many patients, from disaster victims of Hurricane's Irma & Harvey, to everyday patients like me. When disaster hit in Puerto Rico, they delivered 200 solar battery packs to help those patients without electricity. I have never dealt with such a caring organization like this before, and I am proud to say I am a involved with them.
They are ALL volunteers, who take time out of their busy schedules to Race for those of us that are not able to race because of our Lung/Heart condition, and I feel they deserve this award.

Mission: Team phenomenal hope, inc. Was formed with an overal goal to provide and raise awareness for pulmonary hypertension, and raise funds for scientific research. The organization will achieve this goal by meeting the following objectives: (1) to raise awareness about pulmonary hypertension by supporting theteam phenomenal hope cycling team in training and competing in the race across america, and (2) to raise money for the funding of research grants to be located through the pulmonary hypertension association.
Programs: Team phenomenal hope submitted $16,330 to the pulmonary hypertension associattion (fein 65-0880021), the world's oldest and largest 501(c)(3) association dedicated to all aspects of pulmonary hypertension. Their mission is to end the burden of pulmonary hypertension.
team phenomenal hope provided $12,060 to the endurance team athletes for uniforms & t-shirts to promote awareness. The athletes are running on behalf of patients and generating donations to team phenomenal hope.
team phenomenal hope provided $10,432 to the pittsburgh marathon to promote awareness. The funds were used to provide t-shirts & marketing to recruit people to promote awareness at the event.
in addition to the three program services listed above, team phenomenal hope provided these additional program services: (1) provided $9,189 for t-shirts and promotional materials for the pittsburg 5k. The revenue from this event was $19,935. (2) provided $2,375 to the us international team competing in a new zealand event. The expenditure was for uniforms to promote awareness. (3) provided $716 to phriends 4 life for materials to promote awareness. The revenue from this event was $1,108. (4) provided funds to south america ($3,096) and to europe ($128) for seed funding for racing uniforms, t-shirts and promotional materials for funding to create awareness. (5) 40% of executive director salary ($11,667) plus related payroll taxes ($915) was allocated to program service expenses based on hours of service. (6) 100% of advertising and promotion expense ($19,672) was allocated to program service expenses since all of the expenditure relates to creating awareness of pulmonary hypertension.
