TARP Center for Independent living has been wonderful for me. The positive training and the peer support I have received has most definity far exceeded my expectations. I am involved in many activities like a mail in recycling program, also a littering picking up activity to give back to my community,and the TARP Center encourages me in my ideas and activities. I have disabilities but I also have abilites. TARP helped me to get new energy efficent windows and storm doors last fall. We are all people helping each other and our community.

Mission: Provides four core services to people with disabilities as follows independent living skills training, information and referral, advocacy, and peer support.
Programs: Tarp provides four core services to people with disabilities as follows independent living skills training, information and referral, advocacy, and peer support. For 2017, tarp had 199 active consumers carried over from prior reporting period and 227 consumers started during the reporting period, for a total 426 consumers served in 2017.
