Mission: It is the mission of Hope Haven of East Texas, through partnerships with churches, families and the community, to provide a safe home environment, minister the love of Christ, and to equip neglected and abused girls in the foster care system, preparing them for healthy adult living.
Results: since opening our doors in May 2018, we have served over 45 girls from the foster care system. We have helped some graduate high school, several have gotten jobs, some have been reunited and some have been adopted.

Programs: Hope Haven of East Texas started as a dream of volunteers who visited girls in an emergency shelter in Tyler, Texas. They discovered that there were no long-term placement options for teenage girls in our area. Hope Haven of East Texas is a 6,472 sq. ft. home located in Lindale, Texas, on 7 acres that provides a multitude of services to adolescent girls who are in the Texas Foster Care System. Hope Haven has 16 beds and accepts girls from across the state. Hope Haven is focused on providing for the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of the girls. Our goal is to provide a loving, nurturing environment where the girls will get their needs met in ways that promote their understanding that they are safe, precious and have a voice.
Hope Haven is filled with heart! This is a nonprofit that LOVES BIG and WORKS HARD every single day to serve the girls in their care. I started volunteering with Hope Haven at the start of 2021 and have already seen so much care from their staff for every girl at Hope Haven.

I have been working for this ministry since June 2020, and since then I have not only been able to make a huge difference in the lives of teenage girls in foster care, but I have also grown to learn the ins and outs of the overall need in the child welfare system. I am grateful to be apart of something so much bigger than myself!

I have worked for Hope Haven a little of 4 months and it has changed my life for the better. I, like the girls came into life with a lot of baggage, but the Lord has blessed me in so many ways. To be able to share my testimony and breathe life into the girls has been refreshing. Our staff come together to love on our girls and to uplift each other, as this job is not easy. This has been the best community I have experienced and I am thankful to be apart of something so beneficial.
