Mission: Tapestri is dedicated to ending violence and oppression in refugee and immigrant communities, using culturally competent and appropriate methods. As advocates for immigrant and refugee families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and exploitation, tapestri is committed to using education, community organizing, direct services, and advocacy to effect change in the lives of these families.
Programs: The u. S. Department of health and human services - office of refugee resettlement > the national human trafficking victim assistance services program, tapestri serves as a lead agency to establish the eligibility of sub-recipients for approval, administer sub-recipient awards, and monitor sub-recipient performance. These sub-recipients operated programs to assist foreign born refugee victims of human trafficking in eight southeastern states.

Department of justice, office on violence against women > the goal for these programs has been met through the development of innovative approaches to improving culturally relevant services to immigrants including services to address barriers that immigrants frequently experience such as the lack of knowledge of existing resources, language barriers, and issues particularly relevant to our immigration and deportation.
