Tanganyika Wildlife Park is truly magical. It’s somewhat of a hidden gem that not too many people know about unfortunately. We first visited in April 2023. The grounds are impeccably clean, the restrooms are spotless, the animals are amazing, and the keepers are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
Th animal feedings are incredible. Lemurs, Pygmy hippo, giraffes, rhino, bunnies, guinea pigs, goats. We have also done several tours which were amazing. We’ve gotten to meet Jade the serval, held kookaburras, and painted with an okapi named Moyo.
If you’re on the fence about visiting, just do it! You’ll be so glad you did.
Our first real experience at Tanganyika was when we had a birthday party there for our 4 year old granddaughter. Staff I communicated with to coordinate the event were very friendly and patient with my many questions. The weeks leading up to the party brought calming email from staff just checking in to see if I had any questions and to confirm things.
The park is beautifully laid out, the animals all appear to be very well cared for and loved. We’ve been back several times and plan on being members for years to come.
It’s very apparent that staff really care about the park and animals.
