Very clean, knowledgeable and caring people that want the best for all of their animals/adoptees. They work constantly and keep in contact with all their adopters. They are excellent at answering any and all questions I have as a relatively new bird mom I cannot express how much they've helped me.
We have adopted 8 times from this rescue and words cannot express the knowledge and help they provide. From the day one to 4 years later they are still there to help. I couldn’t imagine life without these people and my parrots ❤️

I first met Crystal and her husband when I contacted them about my African grey parrot. My husband was diagnosed with dementia and I was struggling with my husband’s care and trying to keep Dexter safe! Cage doors opened, outside doors left opened. Crystal and her husband came, we talked for a long time about Dexter I knew that their love and compassion for birds was real! I could trust them to care for Dexter when I couldn’t ❤️
I have foster to adopt two birds from this rescue and each time has been such a great experience. She keeps in touch to make sure the bird and new home are a good fit. She is always there if you have questions. Through these adoptions I gained a friend for life! If you are looking to adopt definitely get in touch with this rescue, from the beginning to the end it was an exceptional experience.
I recently had to rehome my last bird, a male parakeet, but he wasn’t tame and I didn’t want him to go to just anyone, I wanted him to go where there were other parakeets so he could be part of a flock. Crystal graciously offered him a home with her flock and within minutes of meeting them he had already found himself a girlfriend, and this was the happiest I had seen him since his 1st mate had passed away a year ago. I am so glad he will be where he can be cared for properly and happy at the same time! Thank you so very much!

This rescue works hard to provide lifelong shelter for birds otherwise unable to be rehomed. They also take great care in ensuring they safety of all birds coming in and out of the rescue. They provide education to current and non-bird owners considering a new feathered family member.

The lady that is in charge of this rescue is an amazing person inside and out. She knows her stuff about her birds, and about other things as well. She truly cares about the animals that she rescues and make sure that their forever home will be just that a forever home. She will not let a bird go. If she doesn’t feel that the person that is getting them is going to treat them well. I am so lucky to have her in my life and can call her a friend.

T&A went above and beyond, and then some when they made the trek up to Pennsylvania to take home and temporarily house our beloved flock for 3 months after we lost our home and our sanctuary to Hurricane Ida in 2021.
If it weren't for Dan and Crystal, the Providence Meadow Caique Sanctuary probably wouldn't exist after that devastating event.
We will forever be in their debt for the kindness, selflessness and love they provided us and our flock during a life changing disaster.

Crystal goes above and beyond to make sure birds find their perfect home. Her adoption process is unique. It is NOT pet shopping, it is matching each bird with their human and new best friend. She works extremely hard to make sure all animals get their proper enrichment, diet, and are overall well cared for. Crystal will answer questions and stay connected even after adoption. There is even a facebook group with care tips where you can ask questions or share images of your flock. The aviary is truly impressive. I met my best friend through T&A and I am welcoming two more tiels very soon. Adopt don't shop!
When I was absolutely out of options Crystal came to my rescue. Literally. I can’t say enough how much they all mean to me. Keeping in contact and easing my mind even a year later is something I cherish. They are so dedicated and not once hesitate to put the birds above all.
T & A parrot rescue has gone above and beyond to assure that all type of birds is provided with care and rehabilitation. I have adopted more than one bird and different birds from this rescue. I would highly recommend this rescue to any and all bird lovers to check them out .
I had fostered and adopted a quaker named Siggy through T&A a few years prior and had expressed interest in doing the same for an African Grey. A While later I checked back and there was one who seemed like he might be a good fit. After meeting the bird we decided I would foster him for a month to see how things went and it seems to be going really well!
I love Parrots of Friends T & A Rescue Sanctuary. I am great full to specially Crystal. She has helped me several times over the years. Every time I contact them Crystal promptly responded gave me solutions to my issues with my birds. I was at end my rope with my Umbrella Cockatoo. She helped with her now me and my bird are much happier. If I had given her up I believe we both have been very sad. We both are attached to each other. I wish the great luck

She knows her stuff, truly cares for the parrots and plays no games with people. You will be guided to the bird that fits your situation and given all the resources you could possibly ask for. But please do not walk in thinking this is a pet store, just because you want something doesn’t mean you’ll get it, what you will get is honest feedback, recommendations, and options.
If you are looking to surrender a parrot you can assured it will be safe and healthy at this rescue and will not be sent home with just anyone she will make sure the home is best for your parrot.
I love Crystal and her rescue. She's very knowledgeable. Any time I have a question she answers it professionally and in a timely manner. The birds in her rescue are always well taken care of with good food, toys, vet care, etc. I have adopted 4 birds from her and it has been a pleasure to work with her each time.
The foster to adopt process was outstanding! Crystal offered constructive advice every step of my journey. One year later I have bonded with a loving, delightful Moluccan Cockatoo. T and A sanctuary is beautiful I remember when crystal was first starting out. She saw so many displaced birds it didn’t matter if they were aggressive or pluckers she wanted to give everyone a fighting chance. Every bird that came through her aviary is thoroughly checked by a vet and quarantined she is very careful with her biosecurity which is rare for anyone who keeps birds. She goes above and beyond for her birds she makes fresh chop multiple times a day the difference of how these birds come in and then go out is outstanding. I wish this rescue the greatest success and will always be the first I’d recommend when anyone asks me about them.

I love the experience I had at T&A the adoption process went smoothly and was really easy unlike many other rescues. I got my female maxi and couldn’t be happier with how healthy and loving she is! It was a wonderful experience all the birds are fed an amazing diet of fresh foods. Crystal is informative and helpful on every step and continues to be available even after the bird leaves her care. Crystal is amazing. It was so heartwarming to see all of the birds who need loving homes so happy in their environment with her. My daughter and I are fostering to adopt a pair of bonded sun conures. She is so good at helping find a bird who is good for you and vice versa. We are so happy with our two babies. We are already talking about getting another pretty soon.
Partots are very special creatures and need very specific care. Alot of them end up being rehomed multiple times in their long lifetime. At T&A her focus is making sure these parrots find their final destination homes. There’s no board directors it’s just her doing the best she can For these amazing creatures
Crystal was great through the whole process. She was very honest and straightforward, letting us know upfront that the bird chooses you not the other way around. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a huge heart for each of her birds - her “babies”. My son connected with a severe macaw and the rest was history! Trust me when I say parrots each have unique personalities and some just don’t like you! I highly recommend T & A parrot rescue!
I have worked along side the owner of T&A for years! I have helped raise funds for the rescue through auctions and flash sales. The owner has a heart of gold and is a pleasure to work with. She loves and cares for EVERY feather baby who comes into her rescue.
I had to make the incredibly difficult decision to relinquish my pet conures of 8+ years. Crystal walked me through the process and ensured me that not only would they be taken care of, but she would make sure they went to the right family. Crystal has a massive heart and a work ethic that is hard to find. She knows and has a relationship with every single rescue she takes in. It was so hard to give my pets away but I know they are in good hands.
Crystal (the owner) is great and clearly cares a lot for each of her birds. I visited originally looking to meet with an African Grey but while I was there a green quaker decided he liked me and latched onto me so I'm currently fostering him with the hopes of adopting.

I have been waiting to post a review because I honestly cannot find enough endearing words for this organization and family. I was at my wits end with my living situation and l my two parrots. I called in desperate need of help . I needed someone to take the parrots I fostered for years because I could no longer continue to care for them and they dropped everything they were doing to come and get them that very night almost two hours away here in Baltimore Maryland . They’re wonderful people and even better avian family! I will write another review when I have the time just to express how wonderful these people and this organization is. I honestly cannot say enough about how blessed I am to have found them. I can rest peacefully now at night knowing the birds are getting the best care !! And they are being loved with extra attention that my life just wouldn’t allow at this time . I met the Pres. forever ago on a personal level. She's continued through the years not only taking amazing care of her family, but also the rescue babies she's taken in. She's had birds as long as I've known her. Now she has created one of the most amazing bird rescues ever (not being bias ) These babies have become her life , making sure they have the most amazing lives while with her. They get the best of everything she can possibly provide, including diets, play time etc. Not only are they inside but she now has accomplished an outside aviary for the babies to spend time in, and set up perfect. IF you ever have concerns, have to give up your baby etc. Make sure you check this rescue out and know you would have no worries while here or living here.
We had to rehome two of our Amazons and checked out a number of rescues. As soon as we contacted Crystal and had a visit at the rescue there was no doubt this was the best place for our boys. She really does treat them as children and it's a family affair. She has sent us pics, videos and updates on the boys and they are loving it there.

Crystal really helped me out when someone left me with 8 birds. They just moved out of my rental and left them. I tried to care for them for over a year but it was just too much for me. Crystal so very kindly took them in to hopefully find them a loving home. The tender and loving care she continually provides all of her creatures is truly impressive. You can see that it is obviously a labor of love for her; she loves and cares for all of them, and regularly gives me updates. Such a caring and bird-loving heart!!!

I absolutely love T&A. She loves her flock so much and just wants what's best for them. I decided I wanted a cockatiel and she helped me find my perfect match after a couple visits. She provides care information and is ready to help you even after adoption. 06/05/2019 This rescue is run very well. Always clean and maticulous. The owner takes get strides in caring for her flock and she still has time to help other animals get rehomed as well. She enjoys teaching others about birds and has a feather game on line, of what feather is this? Sort of even I get stumped. If you need help rehoming or just plain help in any capacity this is the lady you need to contact.
Every experience I’ve had with T&A Rescue has been a positive one. They are generous, knowledgeable, and kind. They really are passionate about what they do, they truly love the birds. They love all animals! I’ve reached out many times for help with my own birds and they are always willing to lend a hand or share their knowledge. The flock are happy and spoiled! I would definitely recommend if you need information on birds, need a rescue to surrender to, or are looking to adopt/foster, T&A is a great and wise place to look!

Crystal and Danny helped my family grow. Due to a work related injury abs surgery, I couldn't adopt until after my recovery. They drove an 8+hour round trip to pick up two orphaned green cheek conures, helped raise them and tame in their own home, letting us visit. The cornucopia of information on how to take care of the birds, and how to all become a forever family together was amazing. Even after a month, we still have contact and question and answer sessions weekly, helping us through all the small things.
T&A is a great parrot rescue. They do a wonderful job educating others how to properly care for different species of birds. All their birds get fresh food daily and they have nice aviaries for outdoor time.
Crystal and Danny at T and A are absolutely amazing people. Super easy going and easy to work with, very knowledgeable. I have learned so much just being in her facebook group, and visiting the flock.
