Glenna and her amazing, small but mighty, family at Sweetpups went many extra miles (literally!) to bring my family their beloved pup to Maine all the way from Texas. That was two years ago and I still can't believe everything they do to save dogs and get them to loving homes - and similarly help people come together and adopt animals that make our lives so much better. Destination Maine- Saving Southern Dogs
I searched locally, in shelters and rescues since June 2020 trying to find a small dog . We are elderly in Washington County Maine and had great difficulty finding a rescue dog. Breeders wanted to sell puppies and there’s a shortage of well socialized small rescue dogs in Maine. Facebook groups with free pets from private owners , were the sources that referred me to Sweetpups.org Rescue & Sancuary in east TX. They have a transport every 4-6 weeks to Maine with adoptable dogs of all sizes.
