healthy homes education and remediation:during the development of src's holistic approach to housing through the weatherization and lead programs, it became clear that there were housing issues that were not being addressed such as indoor air quality, radon and moisture problems. While weatherization programs evolved to addressing indoor air quality problems, lead hazard control programs at src began addressing lead dust contamination exposures. At src these two protocols have become intertwined in a working recognition of healthy housing principles that can help improve the indoor environment and concurrently create more durable, comfortable, cost efficient and safe housing. We offer the opportunity to improve homeowner health and wealth while lessening the burden of related costs in energy, healthcare, safety and home maintenance.
aging in place:the organization makes home improvements that reduces health and safety hazards in homes occupied by low income senior citizens. Funding for this program is provided by the minnesota department of human services.
