Passion with action behind words. Always seeking educational tools to help the public understand how one can be more sustainable in their everyday living. At the same time assisting the town in widely broadening the conversation.
SusMo has been one of the best and most impactful non-profits in Morristown for the past 10 years, and we should be very proud and supportive of its efforts to help us make a better future for ourselves and our children.. It has always emphasized that we need to pay equal attention to the inter-related social, environmental and economic sustainable pillars of a flourishing sustainable community. It has helped the help the Town improve in every one of those areas, leading to its achieving silver certification from Sustainable New Jersey (one of only 10 in the state). It has down this by partnering with citizen groups, Town government, the business community, and a wide array of other on-profits in the area. It has run many education and outreach programs, and championed campaigns to reduce plastic waste, create greater social equity, increase local buying, improve energy efficiency, and increase the use of renewable energy and electric cars (to name just some examples).
Sustainable Morristown has been ahead of the world for some time now. They have been working for a sustainable future before it was hardly recognized as a dire need. Fortunately, now there seems to be more recognition of the serious nature of climate warming. SusMo as it is affectionately called has raised consciousness about single use plastic bags, health issues, reduction of harmful cleaning supplies, rain gardens, clean up days, cheaper and non fossil fuel electricity, composting, recycling and much more. Come join us in the most important work you can do for the survival of our species.
They are always present at events and educating people on the value of reducing carbon footprints without pushing an agenda. They are like minded individuals with a clear purpose to educate and instruct, and make everyone's life a little easier. As the green team for the Town of Morristown, they have become leaders in sustainability for the town and Morris County.
I am an environmental printer celebrating my 29th anniversary and Paul Miller and I have created many Eco Friendly projects for Sustainable Morristown. Sustainable Banners and Posters, and 100% PCW Recycled Flyers and Business Cards. Paul was one of my first main environmental clients.
An excellent organization that truly cares about the community it serves.
