Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Alliances & Advocacy, Arts & Culture, Education, Health, Heart & Circulatory System Diseases & Disorders, Public Health, Student Services
Mission: Our mission is to eradicate preventable cardiac deaths by educating people in the lifesaving skills of CPR/AED use, providing free cardiac evaluations for the youth to detect underlying heart conditions, installing AEDs in every public building that currently does not have one, and advocating for cardiac arrest and its prevalence.
Results: We have taught CPR to over 800 people, screened 278 students in our community, detected 5 children who needed a cardiac followup, and donated one AED unit. We are working on more events and donations for this upcoming year!
Target demographics: increase the survivor rate of sudden cardiac arrest
Direct beneficiaries per year: 400+ students, donated our first AED, and hosted various trainings in the US and Mexico
Geographic areas served: The Woodlands area, just north of Houston, Texas
Programs: free heart screenings for our community, donating AEDs to public buildings, teaching CPR/AED skills at no cost to the members of our community, and advocating for SCA and its prevalence.
