Mission: The mission of the supercomputing challenge is to teach teams of middle and high school students how to use powerful computers to analyze, model and solve real world problems.
Programs: 1. Summer teacher institute - a two week workshop for teachers in nm. 2. Fall kickoff - approx 500 students and teachers attending a two day workshop. 3. Midterm evaluations - student travel to colleges to meet with scientists who review their projects to date. 4. Final reports - expo and awards day.
