Rarely have I volunteered for an organization that is so passionate and committed to it's mission. From their very first makeover in 2012, Holly and Peter have led a super crew of volunteers and philanthropic business leaders to advance their goals of renovating rooms for children with special needs. I've had the pleasure of being at many reveals and seen how SOARD's work has positively impacted both the child and the family. This is truly a great non-profit!
Hands down one of the best charities I've ever had the pleasure to be involved with long-term. The commitment of Peter and Holly Ranney is immeasurable. The volunteers are fun, motivated and hard working. There is nothing that compares to seeing the looks on our families' faces when they see their new room make-overs for the very first time! It never gets old. I always describe them as "Extreme Home Make-Over" on steroids! It's been amazing to watch this charity grow from its infancy to a professional organization that serves so many deserving families and their kids!
Sunshine on a Ranney Day is a great organization with a heart of gold! I work with Reliable Heating & Air and we donate all our resources possible to this organization to help the kids! They really do make a difference in these kids lives! SOARD is a great partner that is professional, organized, and driven! Everyone here at Reliable loves working with them. We actually have the plumbers, electricians, and installer fight over who gets to work on SOARD projects!!! Can't say enough good things about SOARD!!! Holly and Pete are an inspiration!!!
I have been part of this AMAZING organization for a year and half now and by far it's the best nonprofit organization I have ever been part of. Sunshine on a Ranney Day not only creates dream room makeovers for children with long term illness but also gives them hope! After a Family has been helped, they become part of our family and we continue to be close to them in every possible way. The founders, volunteers and all the people and are part of SOARD have the best giving and loving hearts.

This charity is an inspiration! With each room makeover for a child with a long-term illness, Sunshine on a Ranney Day brings hope to the child and their family. The charity creates lifelong bonds with these families and they all come back to share in room makeover reveals. It is the most heart-warming charity I have been involved with and the founders could not be more passionate about their work!
Sunshine On a Ranney Day did a total home makeover for our son Tripp Halstead and our entire family, no part of this remodel was outside of their capability, several obstacles were encountered but overcome quickly. Our project was extensive and required permits to be pulled, contractors from every line of work imaginable had to be found and scheduled in perfect harmony so that our home would be ready by the big unveil date. The entire time they were working on the project they would ask what we liked or what one wish we could have had for our home, and the day they unveiled our new home was magical, they sent us to Chateau Élan for a night and a day of pampering. The unveiling itself was another amazing experience that you can not explain to someone, you must live through it to know the feeling. The home they presented to us has made our daily lives so much easier, we have everything we need at home to help Tripp with his therapies and simple things like getting him down hallways and through doors is easy. We are so happy to be a part of the team ourselves now and look forward to helping on future projects.
I could not ask to be part of a more rewarding charity that does so much for the community and the families in it. Not only do the recipients of the makeovers receive a special gift, but the fact that each family continues to pay it forward and you see the FAMILY that has grown since SOARD's first makeover is incredible. WHAT A GREAT CHARITY!!!

My family and I love Sunshine on a Ranney Day. To say they are an amazing non profit and they make a huge difference in children's lives is just not saying enough! They help to ease the burden of day to day life of families that have children with life altering illnesses and disabilities. They make over homes and change lives for the better! My husband and his father own Reliable Heating & Air and we are so happy to be partnered with soard in the makeover process to help with hvac, electrical, and plumbing.
