Mission: Sunrise Retirement Community is Siouxland’s only community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit senior care community. Governed by a local board of directors, Sunrise has been serving seniors from Sioux City and the surrounding area since 1959. Over the years, services and living options have expanded to provide a full care continuum, including independent congregate living, independent living, affordable housing for seniors, Medicare skilled/rehab services, long-term nursing care, nursing memory care, assisted living and assisted living memory care. Our mission statement is “Caring Deeply. Connecting Daily. Leading Boldly. Serving Faithfully.” Our vision is to be forward-thinking and person-centered, as well as to be recognized as Siouxland’s highest-quality, most-active and comprehensive senior living community of choice.
Results: Our commitment to our mission and vision are evident in the work that we do and the endeavors we pursue. Sunrise has served more than 7,000 residents in its 60-year history. Sunrise pioneered both independent senior living and memory care in Siouxland, offering more than 100 independent living units on our 33-acre campus and providing memory care services in both nursing and assisted living settings. We are committed to providing exceptional living environments for our residents, along with high quality care.
