Mission: Mission is to build a greater sense of community among all our residents. To bridge the many cultural and Ethnic divides that separated our residents. To watchdog our local government to ensure a fair share of government services to our previously neglected area. To provide social and learning opportunities to all of our residents. To instill American values of civic participation and community involvement among more recent naturalized citizens of our community and to end the apathy of longer time residents. To foster a common sense of community and togetherness among all.
Programs: Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association provides education in computer training to local residents who have suffered layoffs in the high tech MFG field and to Seniors and to anybody else that may be suffering from the Digital Divide. We sponsor many programs (Mentioned above) that bring neighbors together and increase their civic participation and encourage them to let their concerns be known to local civic leaders resulting in park improvements, graffiti cleanup, vacant lots turned into parks, street sweeping, city trees trimmed, abandon buildings thorn down, tree planting to replace dead ones. etc.
