Causes: Arts & Culture, Symphony Orchestras
Mission: The Sumner County Symphony is truly the "people''s orchestra with a heart for the community." We believe in the promotion of original American classical music which is both accessible and entertaining to audiences of all ages and stay intricately involved in the inner workings of the community to not separate off into a clique of elitism. We take music and beauty to the students of our schools, donating all proceeds from ticket sales to area charities, including school band programs, contributing to fellow charitable organizations with a fundraising project known as "The Topper" and to provide gratis musical service when community charities are benefited.
Programs: The Symphony will be presenting a 23-minute musical and narrated piece entitled H.O.M.E.--the history of musical entertainment, featuring the Sumner Pops, a seven-piece ensemble from the orchestra, chronicling the history of music from "Cave to Rave
