I met the director of Sugar Momma's rescue about 3 yrs ago. She home checked us to foster. Her and I quickly became friends. When our foster passed away, senior on going foster, we took time to grieve. We took in a baby from Sugar Momma's about 2 weeks ago. The sweetest thing!! This fur baby had known nothing but love within Sugar Momma's rescue!
We adopted one of our three rescue pups from these amazing people! They are absolutely angels on earth, they take the most desperate dogs from the most horrific situations, get them medical care and nurse them back to health and then find the best homes for them. They have a policy of taking dogs back no questions asked, so if a dog is not a good fit it has a second chance at a great home. They are constant and dedicated animal advocates and have helped so many people and dogs find each other. Love love love them!
I was introduced to Divya Thompson who works at this rescue. She brought a rescue to me & at first I said no but changed my mind. I really wanted her. The dog was sweet and I was lonely since I just lost my dog Sophie a month ago. But Divya said this dog wouldn’t work for me because she was too lively. I was heartbroken. But Divya was right. I’m a Senior and needed a less active fur baby. She brought another dog over, a sweet one like the one before and I adopted her. I don’t have her yet. It’ll be 2 weeks as dog heals from surgery. Divya knows what she’s doing in placing dogs with the right person. I would recommend this rescue organization to anyone looking for an exact match to a future owner.
This rescue is one of the best. I had called diviya on a short notice actually while at work because my sisters friend had a neighborhood dog who was being shot by bbs and had like burns on his body. Diviya didn’t hesitate to go rescue him and within two three weeks or so he was adopted. She covered all expenses at the vet and he now lives in a great home. If it wasn’t for Diviya who knows where this poor dog or any dog would be.
I don't know where to begin. Divya Thompson, owner of Sugar Mommas Rescue is the warmest, loving person I know with her animals. Her life and her husband's life, is 100% dedicated to rescue. Their love and devotion
for their dogs is unsurpassed and I would not hesitate to rate Sugar Mommas with the highest rating.
I always wanted to have my own pet once i start my family but unfortunately we lost our puppy last year for parvo that was already infected from the breeder. After such a bad experience I couldn’t dare to take care of another pup. But Divya one of the founder member of Sugar mommas/ now 4Ever rescue, who also happens to be a good friend, introduced us to Posh… this cute little 6month old Poodle mix.. she is so gentle and playful, we just fell in love and adopted her. Divya and her foster team has taken such good care of Posh… she is well behaved and also helped me settle and understand Posh in our journey so far. We are so happy to be Parents of Posh.
We didn’t even know we needed another dog but the Force is strong with this Rescue… My mother in law ran into Divya(one of the founders) at the North Natomas Vets office and Divya told her about a sweet little girl that she had that had been rescued from a puppy mill with a broken pelvis and had 5 puppies and all her puppies were at their new homes and she wanted a home for “Candy” (who was about 15 months old). Mother in law called me knowing we were tossing around the idea of another dog, but we didn’t want a puppy—I went online and filled out an application. They ran a background check and checked with past vets. They sent a dog trainer over to do a home visit and see our existing dog (a 12 pound min pin rescue). From first point of contact, they had their rescues needs first- they wanted to make sure the home she went to was safe, spacious and caring. All health check ups- dentals and spay and neuter all done by amazing and qualified and caring vets before they re-home. When we got the approval that we could adopt her, we were so excited. At first they didn’t want to release her until she was all healed from a small complication with her spaying (she has an allergy to sutures) but I said that we were in for a penny, in for a pound (and I have a medical background) so Divya brought her over and she has become such an intricate part of our pack/family. She has been renamed Leia and with her brother Luke, they are the rebel alliance that protects our back yard. I have remained in touch with Sugar Mommas Rescue. (The connection that these people develop with these rescues is heart warming) The Rescue welcomes follow up photos and notes and the trainer has been available for training questions and advice. These people love these animals through some rough stuff (neglect and abuse and so much worse) then they tirelessly find them loving quality homes. They are incredibly caring and loving people who want what’s best for these precious dogs. The lengths they go to just to insure a safe and loving place for them is humbling. We highly recommend this rescue. Amazing professional and caring humane humans. They advocate for their charges and get them the best care needed. In the photos Luke is the brown one and Leia is the white one with tan markings. Because of Sugar Mommas Rescue our little Rebel Alliance is complete.
My husband and I met Sugar Mommas Rescue Inc (known as 4ever yours Rescue Inc now) while looking for a dog that needed a forever home. We had recently lost our baby of 10years. We wanted another Lhasa. We found one on petfinders. We emailed them and met Sugar Mommas. They brought Franklin over. Made sure our home was secure for Franklin. Sugar Mommas is very careful about giving a dog to anyone and they make sure the dog is healthy.
Also had another experience with Sugar Mommas. A friend had passed away and had an older dog who needed a forever home. I called Divya at Sugar mommas and she didn’t hesitate to pick the dog up and have it checked out. The dog was in good health but had to have several teeth pulled. Later I was informed that someone wanted the dog but didn’t have a secure yard so failed to qualify for adopting the dog. It’s good to knowSugar Mommas truly is a rescue that cares for the health and safety of their dogs.
I have fostered for Sugar Mommas and they are so easy to work with. They stand by their fosters and do what they say they will do. They pay food, toys, medical...I have hear that before, but found many rescues don't live up to that promise. Sugar Mommas does. They care about their dogs and they care about their fosters. They carefully vet adopters so you know the dogs you've fostered and come to love is going to a great home. It makes goodbye a little easier.
