I donated to this organization and received a thank you letter that was addressed to another donor. I sent the letter back explaining that it was sent to the wrong donor. I never received an apology nor did I received any acknowledgement of my donation. I felt overlooked and that my donation was not appreciated. I believe in the concept of this organization and would have continued to donate but I am feeling doubtful about any future donations after my experience.
Beatrice, we are sorry to hear that you had that experience. We see that you donated on 7/15/2018 and unfortunately at that point, we did not have a system to keep track of our donations and therefore we were sending all acknowledgments manually. As you can imagine, there is room for human error in a process like this. We do not have any record of your complaint, and would have been happy to make it right had we known. We hope that you continue to support the mission of Students Without Mothers, because one mistake should not turn you away from such an important cause.
