Mission: The mission of the stroke association of florida is to reduce the incidence and impact of stroke in sarasota and manatee counties by educating the community about stroke risks, prevention, signs and symptoms.
Programs: Community awareness and education programs provide lectures, presentations, health fairs, community events, distribution of educational materials and website. Annual symposium presenting distinguished speakers from the community, free stroke-risk screenings including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, carotid artery ultrasound, ekg; local vendors with health, wellness and stroke prevention information.
