What a fantastic organization! Their programs are of superior quality and their teacher professional development is second to none. As a high school govt teacher, I use their materials all the time. I began working with Street Law as a leader (Board of Directors) and as a volunteer for almost 2 decades. It is a terrific organization, with high-impact programming, and an incredibly valuable "niche" expertise and service offering. Never has Street Law's work been more relevant: we are all concerned about how people from every walk of life and in every community can productively engage in government, find the skills and places for respectful discourse, collaboration, and education, and learn more about how to engage institutional systems to fulfill our common civic duties and become better citizens.

Apart from its important and timely mission, Street Law is unique in its long-standing focus and mission to engage its diverse stakeholders and constituents in a non-partisan manner.

As an organization, Street Law punches well above its weight, by leveraging an outstanding and dedicated staff, a well-run and lean-financed organization, and a terrific network of extremely well-placed volunteers with both expertise and commitment to their cause. When you see how Street Law draws people together to weave meaningful results for those it serves, as well as those who volunteer to serve, it is astounding: I invite you to learn more about our work to teach about civics and law, while advancing justice and civil discourse amongst future leaders; I also invite you to join our community - as a supporter or an engaged volunteer – as we strive to build a better world.

I was honored to be chosen for Street Law’s Supreme Court Summer Institute, which was hands down the best PD of my career as a teacher. I also use their textbook and digital educational materials in several of my classes. Street Law, and their talented and dedicated staff, is an asset to teachers and students, and bright spot in advancing civic education in the country overall!

My experience at the Street Law Supreme Court Summer Institute was the most transformative of my 22 years in education. I gained a wealth of knowledge, but even more importantly, I gained so much insight and context. My approach to teaching government has been completely revitalized. Students are turning the insights and skills from our time together into true political engagement.

Street Law is a remarkable organization. The staff and leadership are highly professional, dedicated and committed to advancing its mission. I have seen lots of organizations up close, and few do so much with so few resources. Their model works not only in the U.S. but essentially in every country, including in the developing world. I have seen the Street Law "approach" do tremendous good in remote regions in some of the most far off countries in the world, and this is before I ever became involved as a board member. In short, I have been admiring Street Law from afar for several decades, and if anything, it is even more impressive now that I am seeing it up close.

I had the good fortune to attend the Supreme Court Institute in 1999. The content, methodology, and training remain in the top five professional development experiences I’ve had in my 25 years of teaching. My students’ civic and legal understanding would lack the depth and richness without Street Law. To this day I routinely use their materials.

This organization has done major work, in my opinion, in helping teachers implement work that allows students to engage thoughtfully in the political arena. Not only was I trained by Street Law in delivering pedagogy related to the Supreme Court, but they then give all teachers access to case materials of current cases that are relevant to our students. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to Street Law for giving me the tools to help my students to become knowledgeable and engaged citizens.

It was expertly organized, staffed and executed which created a priceless and irreplaceable experience for the teachers fortunate enough to attend. In addition, they provided and continue to support classroom resources and strategies for teaching this extremely important content. Thank you for an amazing time and for your continued devotion and hard work.

I attended a summer institute for teachers. My coverage of the judicial branch has been limited mostly based in my comfort level. Their teacher summer institute not only boosted my confidence but demonstrated how to get students invested into current SCOTUS decisions and how to understand the Constitution as a tool to guarantee freedom

As an attorney and a high school teacher, I recommend Street Law’s resources to all who ask for help teaching about the courts. I attended the Supreme Court Summer Institute in 2016, and it was one of the best professional development opportunities I’ve been lucky enough to experience! All of the speakers had real life experience with the Court, and they lessons I talk home were easy to use in class. I use the Street Law textbook in my Law class, and have used the Moot Court materials in class and workshops for years.

I cannot speak highly enough of Street Law. The mission is focused and impactful, the staff is the best I've seen in 3 decades of NGO work, and the organization's tight focus on maximizing the amount and percentage of funding that go directly into programs is impressive.

I have seen the organization from multiple vantage points since I was a Street Law volunteer teaching civics in local middle and high schools when I was a law student in 1983 and 1984. I know from personal experience just how powerful an impact it can make on teens when they are exposed to civic engagement processes, basic rule of law concepts, and methods for resolving disagreements and reaching consensus -- life skills too often not taught in traditional school curricula.

Street Law, Inc. has been a part of my professional life and those of my colleagues for many years. Throughout this time, they have consistently converted a relatively modest amount of funding into big results. In the area of promoting rule of law and access to justice, their tried and tested approaches find purchase and yield results around the globe. I would be hard pressed to name a similar nonprofit that has generated so much impact with the resources that they have had at their disposal.

Street Law is a great organization that helps students understand the knowledge and skills needed to understand law and how government should work effectively. I've worked with Street Law and students from a local high school through my corporate job. Street Law does a great job to engage legal departments in the corporate environment and collaborate with them to present a meaningful day for the students. The program is phenomenal and the students are very engaging. Street Law is a great partnership to engage with and show tremendous appreciation for their supporters. N.Macdonald

Street Law, Inc., is an awesome nonprofit that helps children, adults and countries learn and understand local and applicable laws in a way that increases knowledge and use of critical thinking skills. Once learned, these skills are applicable in so many areas of life and totally transferable to important advocacy and life skills.

Street Law is a wonderful nonprofit with a teach-the-teacher model. They provide teaching materials and workshops to train lawyers and law students to go out into the community to teach legal concepts to non lawyers in high schools and community organizations. It's a very lean operation, but the teach-the-teacher model enables it to punch well above its weight in terms of impact on civic education worldwide.

Street Law offers a variety of wonderful programs. The diversity pipeline program is the one that I am most familiar with. It is an amazing program designed to introduce groups of diverse high school students to various aspects of the law and career pathways within the legal profession. Students benefit from participation in the program as it provides an opportunity to connect with lawyers and other legal professionals to learn about how the law impacts their daily lives and also creates awareness of career opportunities within the law.

Street Law provides first rate classroom materials and staff development that is unparalleled in the business. The annual summer seminar is an intensive immersion for both the rookie teacher and the experienced veteran. Street Law led the way in providing materials for the new AP Government Redesign by providing easy to use break downs of the 15 essential SCOTUS cases as identified by college board. I was able to develop a Moot Court program at my school thanks to their support. The kids in my Moot Court Program argued in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and that would not have been possible without the support of Street Law!

I participated in the Supreme Court Summer Institute in June of 2000. I have attended a lot of professional development workshops over the years, and this five day program still ranks as the single greatest experience of professional development.
Unlike many other programs, I was treated as an intelligent professional. I was taught information that I still use in my classroom. And, I was inspired to regularly continue to pursue knowledge about the Supreme Court.
