Christi Metropole and her crew have forever changed the face of cat rescue and TNR in Los Angeles--starting from the day that SCA was "founded" in 2000. This group gets in the trenches and does the hard and emotionally-challenging work in lower socioeconomic zip codes. They have assisted in getting 75,000 cats TNR'd in Los Angeles County. They canvass neighborhoods with devoted volunteers; educate the community, help sick and injured cats they find there, and relentlessly share the good word about TNR. Los Angeles has too many stray, community, homeless and feral cats--like many places. Stray Cat Alliance is insuring the numbers drop and that the importance of this effort remains top of mind. I rate this group among the best, and am proud to be associated with it.
