Mission: Stratford Friends School is a dynamic, creative elementary school for children who are intelligent and imaginative but who find it difficult to learn in a conventional classroom setting. The school?s mission is to prepare these children to function successfully in a regular classroom. The school provides a full academic curriculum, a five-to-one student-teacher ratio, and multisensory teaching throughout the curriculum. Now in its 32nd year, Stratford Friends School continues to be a leader and pioneer in the education of children who learn differently. Stratford Friends School is a Quaker school committed to diversity, peacemaking, social justice, and the recognition of the spiritual dimension of life. Stratford Friends School is a warm and welcoming school where children discover and celebrate their strengths as students and as individuals. Stratford Friends School provides resources, assistance, and training to many schools, parents, teachers, and other professionals through it Multisensory Teacher Training Center.
