Nonprofit Overview

Mission: We strive to bring a strong spiritual focus treating our patients. Those who suffer from long-term, crippling addiction know no other world. Their only reality is the perceived need to use the addictive substance or repeat an addictive behavior in the belief that only that will give them relief. This absence of belief, trust, friendship, and faith has left them with nowhere to turn (in their minds) except back to their addictive behavior. By helping these individuals find Christ as the central feature of their treatment, they find meaning that they never had or perhaps once had and lost. The shame that comes with long term addiction serves to isolate those who are addicted. At our Nashville recovery center, we help them find and accept forgiveness in Christ and a new birth. It is the amazing grace of Jesus Christ that turns their former blindness to a vision of a hopeful future. Those who are lost in drugs become found in Christ and that is the saving grace of our addiction treatment center, Stones River Recovery.

We are very thankful for Stones River Recovery. It has provided a Christian safe place for our son as he transitions into a job and life. Recovery is a tough road, but Jerry and the guys at Stones River have loved him and worked with him.

This program showed me a life of freedom from addiction in Christ. I was an alcoholic and a drug addict before coming to this program. Stones River taught me to find my identity in Christ not in who I was or who others thought I was. There is freedom from addiction.
While I was in the program there were 2 incidents where students relapsed. They were shown grace and still messed up again, putting other students like myself at risk. The staff were swift with their actions and I believe they made the righteous decisions to remove students who were hindering others growth. I strongly believe any negative comments on here are directly attributed to students who had to be asked to leave. If you want recovery bad enough and want to allow God to work in your life this is the place to be.

The place is a disorganized mess. Everyon6tetr was still high drunk nobody got sober. The classes are a joke. Jerry B doesn't know what he doing. He didn't a liscene or the education for it. It's just a money trap. He trying to make a profit off Jesus. Stay home and just join a church.

I have had the blessed experience of being not only part of the staff team but a family member as well since January the 2nd of this year. Sober Living for Jesus was set up by one man and God. Since, we have grown to a 30 bed facility. Serving God through the ministry. Dennis Mayhew

Some staff members seem to care and some lives are changed but there are other local faith-based programs I would recommend over Sober Living for Jesus / Stones River Recovery.

I have seen the work that happens at Sober Living 4 Jesus and the love that is shown for each and every person there, from staff to patients. It is truly amazing of the outcome from the men that has finished the program, that now have jobs in the work force and able to regain their relationship with their families. It is great to know that we have a facility like this willing to help men to overcome their addiction. May God Bless you.

Not actually a client but have found out thru volunteering that the men here that run this facility genuinely love these guys like family. Highly recommend this facility for anyone you may know that is struggling for a better and clean lifestyle.
