I feel like the sterling Heights Lions are continuously taking time to listen and learn about what we can do for the community. They listen to the board and volunteers in other organizations to do the best they can to make us as successful as we can be. I feel we have a mission and a vision for how we run our club on a daily basis. Our community needs us and I do feel we aim to be successful to help them with current solutions and try to solve any problems. Our support is crucial to the community! I feel the sterling Heights Lions Club gives everything to the community that is possible to give. Together we are a team! Every drop of support counts. How we can improve is to think about how we can connect and engage in the community. Go out and find new people to introduce them to the sterling Heights, Lions, and all we do. Invite more people to our meetings so they can hear all about what we do and get her name out there.

My Name is Dawn DeClark and I have been a member of the SHLC for over 2 years. My Aunt and Uncle are also members, so for me, it was a no brainer to become a Lion. My Grandfather was also a Lion for over 35 years. I have been very proud to be be a part of such an amazing organization and learn about the charities that we support, like Leader Dogs for the Blind, Project Kidsight, and Penrickton Center for Blind Children, among others!
I look forward to many more years of serving those in the community and working with other Lions!

The Sterling Heights Lions Club has come alongside us here at Grace Centers of Hope so many times with incredible donations for the men, women, and children in our programs. They have donated food, new socks, stuffed animals, toiletries, money, and so much more. They have invited members of our staff and residents from our programs to speak to their group. Their help is crucial in allowing us to be able to continue to provide the services and shelter needed by or residents.

Susie Q's Kids Inc along with the support of the Sterling Heights Lions Club donated 80 bags to the Children's Program at Turning Point Shelter. These bags are filled with personal need items, stickers, activity books, crayons, card games, a stuffed bear and a cozy blanket. These bags are given to the children when they enter shelter as a Welcome Bag. These bags always bring a smile to the children's face and it offers some comfort.

Two Thumbs Up for Susie Q's - what they do is very important and heart warming. We have seen first hand the impact they have on kids - it's long lasting, it remains as a basic human need to feel comfort and loved. Thank you Susie Q for allow us to be part of your events.

The lions club is a fantastic place that facilitates a lot of the work other NPOs do in Macomb county and does a tremendous amount of work and fundraising for a myriad of great causes in Macomb and the surrounding areas of the Metro.
