Stepping Stones Safe Haven is an emergency shelter for women and children in Murfreesboro Tennessee comprised of a day shelter offering showers, laundry, and case management as well as a night shelter to give them a place to sleep. The day shelter can accommodate 20 or so and the night shelter can shelter 12. The need is great and they are making a difference.
I am on the board of Stepping Stones Safe Haven and see daily how this program and ministry helps improve the lives of homeless women and children of middle Tennessee. The volunteers and staff pour out love and unconditional support for our clients daily.
Stepping Stones Safe Haven is such a blessing to the community, the women and children they serve have life changing experiences. They are committed to helping their clients overcome homelessness and empower them to lead a self sufficient lifestyle.
Stepping Stones has a powerful and desperately needed mission, strong leadership, a committed staff, and passionate volunteers. Stepping Stones has become synonymous with Matthew 25 ministry in our growing community.
I love volunteering with Stepping Stones Safe Haven, Inc. because being able to provide a safe place to a single women with her children is priceless. I love sitting at the front window when a new lady walks in and immediately she feels comfortable because she is welcomed and given encouragement.
I am the Executive Director at Stepping Stones Safe Haven. I have seen first hand how greatly our organization has impacted many lives of women and children who are experiencing homelessness. We have not only assisted in getting clients childcare, jobs, and housing, but we have also taught life skills, built a support system for our clients through a volunteer base, and succeeded in making many clients feel valued and empowered for the first time in their lives. I am extremely proud of the impact our organization makes in our community, and I am even more proud that we continue to grow and expand our programming as a christian based organization.
