I graduated from Step 2, this last July. I can say that Step 2 changed my life. We often here people say this but I went from a lifetime of addiction to a life of Recovery. I
changed everything in my life and I feel empowered. There is no doubt that Step 2 gave me this. I awaken every day with a feeling of gratitude, for Step 2 but also for Me! I will forever be grateful to all the staff at Step 2 and I hope to always stay in contact. I know they are there to help me through any crisis I may have. I also believe any woman who can wholeheartedly accept the program they offer, there will be success. As you can I see, I could write chapters about Step 2 but I will end with, Thank you Step 2 for giving me a life.
My sister was in the Step 2 Program twice and the first time was great and she stayed clean for a little while but then ended up relapsing. But it was the second time that she went into recovery that really stuck with her. It was with your help and this program that got her to go in the right direction for the second time. You helped her become clean and figured out why she was turning to drugs in the first place. Helped her with her living situation and finding a job to support herself and two kids at the time. Step 2 helped her financially, emotionally, and supported her through her darkest stages of life. I will always recommend this program to help woman who suffer from addition problems. When our family was torn apart and wondering where and when she would be home and if she was okay, Step 2 was there and willing to do everything they could to help. I thank them and this program for bring my sister back to herself and back to us so we can be a true family again. Now i am proud to say she just celebrated 10years clean and has three beautiful children and a loving husband. Thanks you for your support during the most difficult time.
I have known of and contributed to STEP2 for over 8 years now. I have never been sorry to have donated to them.
Their focus on helping women overcome substance abuse and return them to their families as productive family members has been outstanding.
The staff and officers are very committed to their mission and it is certainly not because of the pay or benefits as they are not among the highest or best but their commitment certainly is.
I was an alcoholic, on the verge of losing my family, and desperate. I entered Step2 and learned that life can't be controlled and you have to "live life on life's terms". It wasn't easy, but I graduated and I'm now proud to be an alumni. I have been sober for over 5 years and I'm grateful for every day. My fellow alumni and I all agree, we wouldn't be where we are, happy and clean and sober, without Step2.
My daughter completed your program 10 years ago. As a meth addict, she was living on the street when she lost her home, her car, her children, and most family members and friends. Since your program she regained custody of her children, graduated from TMCC with her AA, graduated International Academy of Style as a cosmetologist, and in July opened her own 3000 SF salon and spa in south Reno. I cannot imagine where she would be if not for your amazing program and the Wonderful people she met along the way.
I was at the lowest point in my life. My kids just got taken away and I was in jail. I had a severe alcohol problem. I wanted to change my life but didn't know how or who to turn too. My attorney suggested step 2. I went. Little did I know what was in store for me. Rules, schedule, counseling, class everyday, fixed menu. And the most brutal one of all was having to face all my bad habits, negative thoughts and feelings, relive the past, admit failure, be weak, the list goes on. I wanted to change my life so I embraced step 2s way. Don't get me wrong, I fought it lol.. but in the end I gave myself truly to what the program is all about. Step2 is not like any other rehab. Their wrap around approach is the only way to go. I had abandonenment and resentment issues that caused me to spiral out of control. I was able to deal with my inner most feelings and come out on top. There are a lot of women there that had worse issues than me and thank God for the trauma therapist and domestic violence therapist as well. With all the classes and counseling and support of staff and fellow clients I was able to see there is a better life out there for me and my kids. The step2 experience changed my way of thinking for the better. I'm a better person and mother because of step2.
I did the full program including light house. I now have a nice 3 bedroom apartment, self-employed, great friends, live a healthy lifestyle and I owe it all to step2 and of course my hard work. Oh I also went through the family drug court program at the same time ( great program). A lot of people don't understand how much hard work that it takes to change your whole life and step2 was there for me through the whole process and is still there for me. If I'm needing someone to talk to all I have to do is pop in to an aftercare group and be welcome with open arms.
STEP 2 saved my life. I'm an alumni now and as of October 28th I will be 2 years sober.
Step 2 is a life changing facility, the staff was and continues to be a huge assest in my life! Before coming to Step 2 I was broken and damaged beyond repair I thought, and now I have 5 years clean and have learned to live life on life’s terms!!
Blessed to have been able to go to Step 2!!
Step 2 helped me learn how to live a healthy life for myself and my 3 daughters. Befor Step 2 I was on the streets ,no job, and had no contact at all with any of my children for more then a year . After attending Step 2 I can proudly say that I am a full time mommy with a full time legal job !!! I wouldn't have been able to have any of that if it wasnt for Step 2 helping me learn there is a different way to live and its is much more fulfilling! Thank you Step 2!
Step 2 changed my life. I was so lost in August of 2008. With their help I was able to gain the skills I needed to a Successful Memeber of society. I was able to be reunited with my two beautiful babies and start college. Now 10 years later I’m a college graduate, married to an amazing man, have three healthy thriving children and own my own business. All because Step 2 and all the people that work there believed in me and taught me how to live the best life possible!
I struggled in my addition for years. Step 2 saved my life. This program is either taken seriously by the client or the bed will go to someone who will. The daily groups I attended taught me so much. They also inspired me to go back to school. I have been addiction free for 2 1/2 years. I thank God I found Step 2.
