Results: THE KINGVILLE PROJECT’s CONSERVATION, PRESERVATION, CELEBRATION is a three prong campaign promoting community pride and unity. CONSERVATION-We’ve been partnering with City of Albemarle’s Public Works Director Ross Houlshouser and the Adopt-A-Street program every three months since April 2022 influencing and assisting with adopting and cleaning up to 20 streets in the Kingville/South Albemarle area. We’ve recently partnered with the Keep Stanly Beautiful Society and Community Who Cares. PRESERVATION-We’ve gained the attention of Mayor Ronnie Michael, Albemarle’s City Council and the Stanly County Historical Society to establish historical preservation markers throughout the county to honor the people, schools and communities that played a crucial role in Stanly County’s progress towards equality before integration who may not been recognized in most history books. CELEBRATION-We plan on supporting the Kingville Alumni Association and the 125th Kingville Anniversary, honoring the past, present and future endeavors of a unified community. Our ECONOMIC MOBILITY WORKSHOPS will introduce 2nd chance programs, workforce development, financial literacy, generational wealth, mental health and community S.T.E.A.M (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Mathematics) Education programs. Your contribution will help with expenses like event space, curriculum, speakers, equipment, supplies, insurance, food, advertising, inventory, personnel, and other essential requirements. We’ve teamed up with a fellow 501-c3 non-profit, Community Who Cares. CWC is committed to providing aid for families facing financial hardships, equipping youth with neighborhood programs, and conducting landscaping for the elderly and disabled citizens of Stanly County.
