As soon as they came into my condo I knew they where not going to take the leather couch. The women picked at the fabric and claim the supervisor texted her to decline the pickup. I was standing right there no text message was sent. I would never donate to them. The couch was in great condition. It was a sleeper sofa never used she didn’t want to move it. Lazy. They told me to put it on market place for $200
Every day that I volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul Society Council in Naples, Florida I'm amazed at all that gets accomplished with running a Meals On Wheels program that provides 85,000 meals annually, the providing of food on a daily weekday basis to people that walk in, many days 40/50 or more arrive at the Center and they are professionally screened and treated with respect. Besides food they are provided,if needed, with rent assistance, clothing, funiture, and given referrals to other agencies for any other assistance that may be necessary. All of this is accomplished with a full time staff of just 8 people and volunteers.

One of the very special ministries provided by Naples District Council of Saint Vincent de Paul is Meals-on-Wheels. Using only our own donations, volunteers and facilities we annually deliver over 85,000 meals to the homebound throughout Collier County. No government funding is used for this wonderful ministry.
