Causes: Child Day Care, Children & Youth
Mission: The mission of st. Luke's community house is to create a community where children, families, and seniors from different backgrounds can easily access the resources needed to live fulfilling lives. ST. LUKE’S COMMUNITY HOUSE EMPOWERS CHILDREN, FAMILIES, AND SENIORS TO LIVE FULFILLING LIVES BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO FOOD, CHILDCARE, CASE MANAGEMENT, AND WRAPAROUND SERVICES.
Results: In 2021, - Expanded our Preschool by 21% so more working families have high quality, affordable childcare. - Distributed 25,350 diapers - Distributed over 40,000 meals through food boxes in our Food Bank. - Delivered 19,254 meals to seniors and disabled residents - 12 families received rental assistance to stay in their homes - 23 parents were connected to employment navigation services

Programs: Preschool - St. Luke’s Preschool Program serves children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. We welcome families across Davidson County to apply to our diverse, multicultural Preschool Program. We provide a safe and healthy learning environment for the children we serve, and we strongly believe in partnering with both parents and community organizations to ensure that the best services are being provided to empower and support our families. Food Bank - St. Luke’s partners with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide emergency food boxes to families and individuals in need. Food boxes provide three meals for two days for each person in the household. Diapers and hygiene items are also available in the Food Bank. Mobile Meals - Seniors aged 55+ and adults with disabilities who live within specific West and North Nashville areas may qualify to receive prepared meals. Meals are delivered to the door by trusted and trained volunteers. Senior Services - offers weekly social and recreational opportunities for seniors of all ages. Activities include shopping, lunch outings, bingo parties, crafts, group fitness classes and more. Family Empowerment Program – seeks to break cycles of poverty for families. The primary focuses of the program are on employment, education of adults and children, housing stability, increasing financial capability, building social capital, and improving the health and well-being of the family. There is a possibility for moderate financial assistance.
