I did my service hours here for the Oratory and I made cookies for Christmas so the kids can decorate them. They were great and very welcoming to me. They signed off my service hours on the sheet and they are great about checking their email. I strongly recommend doing your service hours here.
I’ve been doing camp savio since I was 5 years old and I have experienced being a camper and counselor. Camp savio is honestly such a fun experience and so worth anyones time! I have made so many new friends and learned so much about myself and God. It is truly a fun and loving experience and once its over every year I get so sad. Lastly, I reccomend this summer camp to everyone and I promise you won’t regret it.
Camp Savio has been a very valuable experience. Camp was home for me as a camper and now it’s exciting to go back as a counselor. I am kind of a shy person and always expect the worst, but Camp has helped me not be that way and continue to be loving, selfless, and faithful- what you need to be at Camp. It’s amazing that even though it is not a Bible or “Jesus Camp” it still respects values of everyone and helps bring the Church to people who don’t have it, or haven’t found it. It is worth it waking up early and staying late, you never know how much of an impact you have on a kid.
I did Camp Savio @ St. Domic Savio and it was one of the best things i did this summer. Camp Savio is a 4 week long salesian summer camp where youth takes care of youth. Camp Savio consists of fun activities like water day, dancing daily and cheer offs which allows counselors and campers to get out of their comfort zone. Camp Savio also incorporates God into daily activities like prayer before meals and mass every friday. Camp Savio overall was a really great experience for me.
