Springtime House exists to rescue orphans in Romania in Eastern Europe! Over 20 children have been brought out of a life in an institution where they were a number and have been placed in family-style homes and are now called by their names. Of course, the children have their basic needs met, but more important, they blossom as they are loved and nurtured by their house parents. Trust and inner healing occurs as they enjoy life in a secure environment. They are taught critical life skills at home and are educated in public schools. These children have awesome support from their house parents, schools, churches and community. In spite of early years being abandoned and neglected, they are now encouraged to reach their fullest potential to live healthy, independent lives and escape being targets of human trafficking.

Causes: Human Services
Mission: To rescue orphans and restore orphans and at-risk children by supporting God-centered foster care homes.
Results: 2010, Springtime House begin with one foster care home and 5 orphans. Today, 85 orphans and at-risk children are supported in 11 homes along with their caregivers. Grants have been provided to all teens at age 16 for their savings in preparation for their transition to safe independence. Some homes were provided water and electricity indoors for the first time. Many home have received renovation and have been enlarged. Teeth have been straightened, tutoring & counseling & medical provided. School supplies are provided to ~125 kids annually in order for them to enter the classroom.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Providing daily care for |100 orphans and at-risk young people in 9 care home + school supplies for 125 kids
Geographic areas served: Romania
Programs: Family-style homes with godly house parents who provide a loving and safe environment for orphans to heal and blossom. Children attend church plus summer camps in the mountains. They receive tutoring, visit museums and arboretums. They are provided English classes. High school provides them training in a trade to help them get jobs and transition to adulthood safely. They are protected from abuse in orphanages and slave trade (human trafficking is rampant everywhere, especially in E. Europe). They are provided a future and a hope!

Measureable Results! 2013, Springtime House cared for 5 orphans in one family care home & hosted 1 Mission Team to paint the house; purchased school supplies for 40 indigent Roma children. 2014 Springtime House cared for 20 orphans in 4 family care homes, 2 Mission Teams + taught ESL; purchased school supplies for 40 indigent Roma children. 2015 Springtime House will care for 65 orphans, 12 caregivers; support 1 college orphan; Mission Teams for 2 projects + will teach ESL to 37 children.
