Causes: Arts & Culture, Single Organization Support
Mission: The Springfield Art Association, a visual arts organization, promotes and supports the advancement of the arts, provides educational opportunities for the greater Springfield area and also preserves historic Edwards Place and the collections of the Association.
Results: We are in our 98th year and working to expand our membership.
Target demographics: All who are interested in the visual arts
Direct beneficiaries per year: Each year our programs reach approximately 94,000 individuals of all ages. Of that total number, 63,000 are school aged children who experience our Our Art Outreach program, that is free to area schools.
Programs: Year round history tours, lectures and events at Edwards Place, Year round class schedule in the School of Art, rotating schedule of exhibitions in the Gallery of Art, Michael Victor II Art Library, open to the public six days per week, Art Outreach available to schools during the academic year, family and homeschool programs in the school of art throughout the year, annual Film Series (January - April) Annual Eduwards Place Fine Art Fair (3rd weekend in September), seasonal workshops and events.
