Mission: The specific purposes of the corporation shall be to serve the community and general public by providing educational counseling services relating to personal finance and credit regardless of an individual's ability to pay; the development and provision of housing and counseling services for the benefit of members of an appropriate charitable class; relieving the governmental burdens of federal, state and local governments and their political subdivions; and by engaging in other charitable and educational activites permitted of organizations described in internal revenue code 501(c)(3).
Programs: Keep your home california: springboard solutions llc administers california's allocation of the federal hardest hit fund, a $10b program established by the u. S. Treasury to support homeowners in states hit hardest by the economic crisis. California's programs which are collectively called "keep your home california" include unemployment mortgage assistance, mortgage restatement assistance, principal reduction and transition assistance.
credit and debt counseling: credit. Org provides financial coaching in the areas of money management and budgeting for those with credit card and other unsecured debt. One possible result of such coaching is enrollment in a debt management program which is a monitored or structured repayment plan for which nominal fees are charged.
housing education: credit. Org provides education to first time homebuyers and those homeowners seeking to avoid foreclosure. These services are mostly provided at no cost and are funded by federal grants from the u. S. Department of housing and urban development as well as other public and private sources.
