This rescue organization did an awesome job helping me with adopting my puppy. They were so quick to respond to every text. I dealt with Michelle, Stephanie, and Casey and they were all great. My puppy is adorable and such a good boy. No complaints whatsoever.

I really can't stand how hard it is to get a dog. On top of that already difficult task I now see that I have to fill out the 20 pages of questions for any dog I'm interested in. That means if I don't get approved for 1 and I have to go for several different dogs, I have to spend hours and hours answering the same questions over and over again and again until they decide to get back to me. Which I have found they don't. Ughh.. I don't think I can go through them. It's nearly impossible from my point if view.

You know for a place that values closeness and personable relationships with animals, they sure do everything possible to not have any personal contact or discussion with people. This was true even before the virus so that's no excuse.

My daughter was looking for a comfort dog to help her with anxiety and we found what we thought was the perfect fit at Spot’s Last Stop. The dogs bio stated he would make a great comfort dog. He was young, so my college aged daughter applied for his adoption. We found SLS to be VERY slow to respond. Then when my daughter was called for her phone interview the evaluator made the potential adoption sound encouraging. Ultimately, my daughter was denied. The excuse was that this 8 month old dog would do better with an elderly owner. I requested that they reconsider, although my daughter is a college student, she lives a very calm lifestyle. In the final response I received the excuse was that this dog was a handful and would be too much for us to handle. That’s sounds EXACTLY like what an elderly person is looking for..... It was clear that SLS was never going to allow us to adopt and made up any excuse to suit they’re reasons. I do not recommend using SLS, you will likely just get your heart broken.
