Mission: At SVCA, our mission is to supply people with the power to raise their voices while igniting hope and opportunity. Our organization is dedicated to supporting ALL of our “neighbors” or “neighbors in need” (what we call our clients) by providing support in voicing concerns, accessing information, resolving issues, identifying available support options and making new community connections in this post-pandemic world.
Results: After taking Q1-2 to regroup, rebuild and restructure, we have helped over 115 individuals or families with $1050 in cash assistance (gas, laundry and other small expenses), along with $3800 in our in-kind donations (Thank you, Broadway Walmart Supercenter!) of apartment essentials for those moving into permanent housing in our service area.
Target demographics: low to middle-income families by providing temporary relief and assistance to maintain the stability of their homes and families.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 173 families with just 2 volunteers
Geographic areas served: the Greater Spokane Valley area
